"Red calipers on my black BMW, looks incredible. Clean lines, no overspray, and it's held up through the summer heat."
Auto Protection
Wheel & Caliper Coatings
Ceramic and protective coatings built to survive brake heat and constant road contamination.
The Service
Protection Where the Heat Is
Wheel and caliper coatings apply protective ceramic or specialized finishes to alloy wheels and brake calipers. These components are exposed to extreme heat, road grime, brake dust, and chemical cleaners. Proper coating protects the surface, simplifies cleaning, and maintains appearance under harsh conditions.

Treatment Options
Choose Your Approach
Three ways to protect and finish your wheels and calipers, each with different strengths.
Long-term protection
Ceramic Coating
- Bonds chemically to metal surface
- Hydrophobic, brake dust releases easily
- Heat-stable up to 1000°F
- Preserves factory or painted finish
Applied over bare or freshly painted wheels. Best combined with Caliper Painting for a full wheel bay makeover.
Color + protection
Caliper Paint
- High-temp formulation (500°F+)
- Wide color range
- Visible through open spoke wheels
- Adds visual pop at a lower entry cost
Masked and hand-applied. Can be finished with a ceramic topcoat for maximum longevity.
Maximum durability
Powder Coating
- Electrostatically bonded finish
- Available in any RAL color
- Harder than paint, chip resistant
- Ideal for alloy wheels and accessories
Wheels removed and cured in an oven. Most durable finish available. Lead time slightly longer.
Why It Matters
Key Benefits
Brake Dust Resistance
Coated surfaces resist brake dust adhesion, wheels stay cleaner longer and clean with significantly less effort.
Heat Tolerance
Formulations rated for caliper service temperatures, no peeling, cracking, or discoloration under normal braking.
Corrosion Protection
Seals alloy surfaces against moisture, road salt, and wheel cleaner chemicals that cause pitting and oxidation.
Aesthetic Upgrade
Clean, uniform finish on wheels and calipers elevates the overall appearance of the vehicle significantly.
Our Process
How It's Done
Removal & Inspection
Wheels are removed for full access. Calipers are masked or removed depending on the application.
Surface Prep
Thorough cleaning, chemical decontamination, and sanding to remove brake dust, oxidation, and old finishes.
Coating Application
Ceramic or protective coating is applied in controlled conditions and cured to product specifications.
Reinstallation & Inspection
Wheels are reinstalled and torqued to spec. Caliper finish is confirmed under static conditions.
Is It Right For You?
Who Should Get This?
Right for anyone who wants to reduce the effort of keeping wheels clean or wants to improve the look of their brakes. Particularly valuable on vehicles with open-spoke wheels where brake dust buildup is immediately visible.
Client Feedback
WHAT OUR CLIENTS SAY
"Had the wheels powder coated and calipers painted together. The whole wheel bay looks like a different car."
"Ceramic coating on the wheels makes cleaning so easy now. Brake dust just rinses off."
Common Questions
Frequently Asked
What's the difference between ceramic coating and powder coating for wheels?
Powder coating is more durable and allows color changes. Ceramic coating is applied over the existing finish for protection and hydrophobic properties. We'll recommend the right option during consultation.
Will caliper coating hold up to track use?
Our caliper coatings are rated for street use. For sustained track heat cycles, we'd discuss appropriate product options during consultation.
Can any wheel finish be coated?
Most alloy, steel, and painted wheels can be coated. We'll assess the existing finish condition during intake.
Long Island Expertise
SERVING LONG ISLAND
Long Island's road conditions are uniquely punishing on wheel finishes. Road salt from winter storms combines with heavy brake dust to form a corrosive compound that eats unprotected alloy surfaces over multiple seasons. Factory finishes on even premium wheels begin to pit and oxidize within a few years of Long Island winters. Whether you're running a daily commuter or a weekend car, a properly applied ceramic coating or powder coat on your wheels dramatically extends their life in Nassau and Suffolk County conditions.
Our Ronkonkoma shop handles wheel and caliper work for customers throughout Long Island, from Melville to Medford, Huntington to Bayport. Caliper painting and powder coating are same-week turnaround services for most vehicles. We match paint codes for OEM color accuracy or go full custom with any RAL color. Every caliper job includes proper masking of rotors and hardware, no overspray, no shortcut prep.
